68 % of pipeline companies seek funding below USD 20M, aligning with BOI's bracket. The pipeline spans prevention, treatment, diagnostics and delivery.

DFI Engagement
Active across ten development finance institutions.
USD 75M unlocked via the Afrexim-BOI partnership for smaller deals, and EUR 50M via EIB-BOI for the same bracket. NCGC guarantee discussions are underway to ease BOI collateral constraints by up to 60 %.
European Investment Bank (EIB)
Since Nov 20248 teasers shared. One company has received no-contest approval and is in advanced documentation. EIB visited Nigeria in May 2025.
Afreximbank
Since 2024Engaged across three teams: large deals (>$10M), small deals (<$5M) and APPF for project preparation.
Bank of Industry (BOI)
Since Aug 202416+ transactions engaged. 10 companies have completed all documentation except LOI and bank guarantees. NCGC partnership being explored to guarantee up to 60% of transactions.
African Development Bank (AfDB)
Since Apr 202516 one-pagers shared; 4 companies shortlisted.
NSIA
Since Jan 20255 teasers shared. 2 companies advanced to KYC. NSIA is offering mixed Naira / Dollar debt to reduce forex risk.
IFC
Since Feb 2025Interest shown in projects outside major metros and in co-funding the PVAC / Empower Swiss manufacturing academy.
